Buddyzm - Hinduizm : Saint Kabir Das reached the abode of God in Maghar close to Gorakhpur in 1518. However, immediate dispute began regarding the way in which his final rites must be performed. It is believed that both Hindus and Muslims claimed the body to perform the funeral rites. To their utter surprise, Kabir Das stood up and asked them to lift his body and view beneath. Lying there was nothing but a beautiful array of flowers. The term particularly refers to the annual Rathayatra in Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal and other East Indian states, particularly the Odia festival that involve a public procession with a chariot with deities Jagannath (Vishnu avatar), Balabhadra (his brother), Subhadra (his sister) and Sudarshana Chakra (his weapon) on a ratha, a wooden deula-shaped chariot. Buddyzm - Hinduizm : The festival of Teej symbolizes reunion of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Goddess Parvati followed fasting and austerity for 108 long years. In the 108th birth of Goddess Parvati, Lord Shiva accepted her love. Goddess Parvati is also known as Teej Mata. Till today, the festival of Teej is celebrated to honour the devotion of Goddess Parvati – popularly known as TEEJ MATA. Knowing that Lord Shiva has accepted her as a wife, she was delighted and celebrated the reunion during the pleasant time of monsoon, in the month of Shravan. Hence, to date, the festival is well known as Hariyali Teej or Shravani Teej. Singhara Teej is remembered as a reunion of Shiva and Shakti. The festival of Hariyali Teej also signifies the bond of love of Radha-Krishna. Hence, Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, Lord Krishna, and Goddess Radha are the ones who are to be worshipped.

The word raksha signifies protection, and bandhan is an association signifying an enduring sort of bond; and so, when a woman ties a rakhi around the waist of her brother, she signifies her loving attachment to him. He, likewise, recognizes the special bonds between them, and by extending his wrist forward, he in fact extends the hand of his protection over her.

Swing Festival -

Buddyzm - Hinduizm : Jhulan Purnima: All devotees wait patiently in a queue to swing Their Lordships. The swing (jhulana) beautified with splendid flower decorations, colorful beads, etc. A special flower rope is used to pull the swing. An arotik is performed after Sri Sri Radha Madhava are seated on the swing, and devotees bring a variety of bhoga to please Their Lordships. Kirtana and bhajans go on for almost two hours, and many visitors join in to pull Their Lordship's swing.

Buddyzm - Hinduizm : The celebration occurs two weeks after the Kharchi Puja to honor Ker, the guardian deity of Vastu Devata. It includes offerings, sacrifices, and a prescribed boundary which both safeguards people from calamities and saves people from external aggression. The puja was initiated by the Tripura rajas. Participation in the puja is required for the Halam tribe.
